Default how many of us out there

Can anyone help me locate data on how many corporate pilots are out there in the u.s. trying to dig through the data on faa certificate issuance per year but to reduce it granularly is difficult at best.

How many contract pilots are out there? what is the demand look like? what is the way most make connections with operators?

Any advice or pointing me in the right direction without giving up your connection or secrets would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is any way to get an idea of the number you're searching for. What do you go by? ATPs issued? Type ratings issued? As far a contract pilots, I know quite a few that are employed at a 91 and/or 135 and contract on the side. kind of hard to get an idea of how many contract pilots there are out there. I also know others who strictly contract.

Take the number of commercial pilots with a type rating, subtract the 121 pilots and you’ll have a decent estimate

Not even close.

When one defines "corporate pilot," is that a strictly Part 91 corporate operation, or one that puts their airplane on a 135 certificate, or the corporation that uses fractional ownership? What of those who fly part time, or have types for any number of reasons?

Are you specifically referring to JUST 91 ops? Many EJM and Netjet accounts are 135 trained, but only work for one family(no charter). Think your search will be difficult.
