Default What's up with Yum Brands?

I often see Yum Brands looking for a pilot. Does anyone know what is going on with that flight department? Are they getting more aircraft or can't they keep the pilots they hire?

ive applied there every time i see their ad on carrerbuilder or monster-- prob for hte past 2-3 years-- i have never heard back fom them. Ever.

i believe myself to be extremely competitive, but yet no call-- same with other corporate ads, i think , like what other people say, that the ad is just a formality, and they must already have someone in mind, and are just doing this for legal purposes.

I know one person who worked for them in Southern California. Started in the mid 80K range for a right seat position. Never flew but could not get over having to clean toilets.
I have tried to get on there as well. Never heard a thing either.

They currently have 1 G550 and 2 challenger 605's. G550 based in Louisville KY, 605's based in California and Dallas. So have your certification in one of those. They don't really use that many dual qualified, only on long trips or if they are taking 2 planes to one place. Normally 14 working hours max a day, lots of days off, in those 14 hrs maybe 11-12 flying. I know one pilot in Louisville comes in about once a week when he doesn't have a flight.

With most large companies they have to post the job even though they usually already have the candidate....and even if it is an in house hire.
Try and get your 6 degrees of kevin bacon separation down to 1. They want people that others can vouch for.
That said: With the pool dwindling it is getting harder to have the right person standing in front of you so the chances of being contacted are getting much better.
But I will pass your sentiment along.
