Things are pretty stagnant right now. People are buy aircraft, but charter is down. The best advice is just go knocking on hangers. Most places within SLC want anywhere from 2500TT to 5000TT with specific aircraft type and time. I'd go knocking over at SLC jet center they have a few customers (don't want to mention names on the internet) that may have openings or possibility for contract work. Also there's a small operator out of Airport #2. Haven't been there in years, but heard about them.
Other than that it's time to tighten the belt and bunker down for what I predict to be a long COLD winter.

Thanks for the info

Looks like I need to take a field trip and do some networking to see if there's any possibilities out there. I appreciate the responses!

I just got my furlough notice today from XJT. I have a few hours in a CJ2 doing the corporate thing and really enjoyed it. I am also in the Guard here in SLC flying KC-135's. I have about 1500 hours total time 1200 jet. I know I'm low on total time. I have a BE400 type and a couple others. Just looking to see if there's an operator out there who'd consider hiring.

Hrs look ok, not the best with the competition. But I would push the BE400 type. Might be able to get some contract work if your current. Probably, just post your qualifications on a contract website like avcrew.com. They do have Ameriflight in SLC. You qualify for a BE99 slot, they might have an opening. Also any chance of going full time with the guard time. That would help keep you flying and keep bringing in the cash. And just keep knocking on hangers. Also try OGD, and PVU. There's more jets there than one might think.

I went to recurrent training for the Excel in may and my sim partner was a pilot for Million Air SLC. It sounded like they had a lot of stuff going on and a large fleet from a PC12 to a G550. Maybe you could knock on their door and get some right seat action.
