I'm currently a student at ATP, Inc., at KCRG. I hope to complete their Airline Career Pilot Program by mid-August of this year. So needless to say, I've been looking at different flight opportunities to pursue after I serve my time as an instructor. I've seen Air Net, a Part 135 carrier, does anyone have any experience with the company or its pilots? Any advice in general about Air Net, or starting my career? Thanks for the help.

Call Craig Washka at Pilot recruitment! He is easy to talk to and loves to talk to prospective new hires. (You should find a phone # at Airnet.com)
I'm not sure if you want to know about AirNet or JetRide?
I've been here little over four years and overall like it a lot. I work the freight side (AirNet, props and LJ35's).
You have to comfortable with single pilot, night flying in lots of "interesting" weather. Not everybody likes it or can do it!
The company it up for sale (not sure where this will take us). Check 21 (electronic transfer of checks) has not hit us hard, yet!
It's a little early to say where this will take the company......... I think it safe to say that AirNet wil be around (As it is now) at least for a few more years.
Don't like the JetRide (Passenger charter, LJ35,31 and 60's we also have two challengers) side too much... we should stick to what we know, FREIGHT! But it is a growing side of our company.

AirNet is a good company and you can make over $35,000 your first year if you work a lot. Make sure you can fly hard IFR and you can do all types of approaches well. They fail about as many pilots as they pass in initial training. They WILL take you out in 002 OVC and 1/2sm on your checkride if they can find it. I hear the learjet takes about a year to get. Good flying, decent pay, but you have to have the stomach for it and really know your stuff.

I think you will find Airnet a nice place to work, You will gain great experience there, the pay is good , the airplanes are well kept (particularly for freight) and the management is understanding. I would say that I enjoyed being there very much , more so than flying for a regional. Good luck, Dave
