Currency for Part 91 Corporate
Question for Corporate 91 Gurus. A friend of mine flies a legacy for a corporate operator part 91. Says they might need someone to fill in. I am furloughed from Continental. Before that I was at Cont. Express- left as a Captain on EMB-145. Last flight on that type was in Nov. of 07. What do I have to do to be current in the legacy/EMB-145. Do I have to take a recurrent course in the sim for that type?
Thanks for any info you might have. |
See 61.55 and 61.58

For their insurance to cover you, you'll probably need to be 12 month FSI or Simuflite current for PIC (61.58). They might have a lenient insurance policy but those are rare these days, insurance runs this business.

Everything, from premium to pilot experience, is negotiable and underwriters are accepting a client's business at conditions they NEVER would have even considered a few years ago. But yeah, most carriers in my experience DEMAND 12 (or possibly 24 month) simulator training. |
