Currency for Part 91 Corporate
Question for Corporate 91 Gurus. A friend of mine flies a legacy for a corporate operator part 91. Says they might need someone to fill in. I am furloughed from Continental. Before that I was at Cont. Express- left as a Captain on EMB-145. Last flight on that type was in Nov. of 07. What do I have to do to be current in the legacy/EMB-145. Do I have to take a recurrent course in the sim for that type?
Thanks for any info you might have.

For their insurance to cover you, you'll probably need to be 12 month FSI or Simuflite current for PIC (61.58). They might have a lenient insurance policy but those are rare these days, insurance runs this business.

Everything, from premium to pilot experience, is negotiable and underwriters are accepting a client's business at conditions they NEVER would have even considered a few years ago.
But yeah, most carriers in my experience DEMAND 12 (or possibly 24 month) simulator training.
