My first impression of the 7x was that it is smaller than I thought it would be (it really isn't much bigger than the 900). I think that cabin size has to be considered when you compare the 7x to the Global & G550. However, the performance and efficiency of the Dassault products are most impressive. Congrats to the few that are flying this plane!
Also, leaving the partitions out of the rear sleeping area and going with a pull aside curtain and lower back seats makes it much roomier.. But no, its not a GLEX cabin. It also weights 30K pounds less, yet has the same range. The 7X is not the choice for pax who routinely circle the globe and need 3 pilots onboard (no rest area with a real galley) For the pax who does not care about fuel flows and budgets - a GLEX/G550 is the way to go. Dassualt simply did not understand what pax service was when designing a 13hr airplane. They didn't include a chiller (is that safe?) and the had a galley that was designed for a crappy Rudys sandwich platter. They didn't realize these planes do 2-3 full meals. The 7X is a great airplane for 7-9 hr legs without thinking about it, in a cabin that is very comfy for 4 pax and is dead quiet. It's DOC's are unbeatable for what it does. Also, it's a real blast to fly! - way more fun that a Glex. |
Anybody have info on the FO/CA pay rates for the 7X?

I think you're right, if you're taking 6 pax from San Francisco to Tokyo, it'd probably get a bit cramped in there. That bird is good for U.S to Europe or South America trips, not much room to do Asia constantly...
still, beautifull machine Photos: Dassault Falcon 7X Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net 6 people is pushing it..hard to sleep 6. 4 people you can do 6000 miles and be as comfortable as you can be in any airplane (no a/c are comfy after 12 hrs...) |

I saw one the last week at VNY. At first I thought someone put winglets on a 900 but second glance I realized what it was. I was expecting it to be more comparable in size to a Global or a G550. Great looking airplane but the froggies dropped the ball on the size.
