Falcon 7X drift down
Hello,
I was looking to compare drift down tables between the Falcon 7X compared to the G450/550. I have the POH for the Gulfstream aircraft and I have looked on Smartcockpit.com for the 7X and came up empty. Would any 7X guys please take a look in their POH and post the single and dual engine failure drift down tables for the 7X? Thank you. |
What weight? does it matter?
Just picking 60K lbs cruise weight here is some ballpark #s. One engine inop - limited by 1.4% enroute climb gradient - 31,000 ft Two engine inop - limited by .3% enroute climb gradient - 16,000ft We compared the 7X and the G550 also, and in reality they are simply very different airplanes. The operating numbers and the budget on the 7X was the deciding factor on this particular purchase. Good Luck! |
Not many of those flying around, specially in the U.S.... definetly a good type-rating to have.....

NC,
How much cheaper % wise is the 7X vs. the 550 to operate? |

Really hard to compare the two/three planes. Much depends on the type of flying you do. A 7X would get small if you often did 12-13hr legs with 4-5 pax....much smaller than a GLEX. Galley space (or lack thereof) is also a 7X issue. Many buyers are taking out the crew rest area to put in an acceptable galley. anyhow..very nice plane either way. |
Now Corporate, Thank you very much for the quick reply. I saw others were asking about the operational costs. The DOC numbers that I have for the aircraft are:
Falcon 7X: $2,452.50 G450: $3,266.25 G550: $3,356.50 |

If the buyer likes the cabin for his length of legs, its hard to beat. Feel free to contact me if you have any specifics, be happy to try and help! |
Just talked to a 7X crew today as they were prepping the a/c to fly out. One of them was one of the test pilots for Dassault on the 7x and he said the fuel burn rate was equal to the Falcon 50. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Just did a demo flight with my friend and his father they are looking to get a 7x .all I can say is wow its a great jet all a round its fast and have a very good fuel burn for as big as it is.it in a class by it self the test pilots took us to fl470 and the cabin was only 4700 feet he went .87 but it tops out at .90 and man is it quit in side . it looks to be a great type to have. it is the g550 of a new time and their is only 44 of them out right now . 20 are in the usa and the rest are in europe . oh the op cost is a lot cheaper than the bd700 or the g550 and even the frist overhall is at 7500 hours that alone is a lot of money saved.will the 7x a nother new bird in the sky I fly the 777er and I can say the 7x is the 777er of its class the g550 is a great jet to am not putting it down I just know from riding in both my pick is the 7x.

My first impression of the 7x was that it is smaller than I thought it would be (it really isn't much bigger than the 900). I think that cabin size has to be considered when you compare the 7x to the Global & G550. However, the performance and efficiency of the Dassault products are most impressive. Congrats to the few that are flying this plane!
