Bank of America, BB&T, Ect.
Does anyone know where to locate contact information for flight departments with banks such as Bank of America, Wachovia, and BB&T. Where do these companies list pilot jobs, ect??????

Seriously though I'd like to know too - but I'm thinking that a VAST majority of these types of jobs fall squarely in the "it's WHO you know, not what you know" category. If you happen to stumble across the secret website though, please PM me GOOD LUCK!

"who you know" is an understatement. But who you know in the flt department only. Had a recomendation from the CEO and Treasurer of one of the banks listed and didn't even get an acknowledgement from the flt. dept. And that ain't BS. Asked the CEO about it (neighbor) and he said they work autonousmely (sp?) and didn't like to meddle in their operation. So good luck.

It is a who you know game. It's not fair but thats the way it goes. If you dont know someone you have a slight chance of getting in.
If I walked in a buddys resume to the CEO for a senior VP position what do you think would happen?

the flight department manager I was talking to was in Cuyahoga(CGF),OH. So I'm guessing that is one of the bases they have. It exists but its down to a aircraft or two for now.

face to face is the way to go. A certain drug company wouldn't give your resume two seconds in the pile unless you had met and shmoozed the right people. they want clean cut, qualified, and nice applicants. If you can find the time to come down to a flight department to ask a few questions you will 9 times out of 10 be introduced to someone that could put your resume in the right stack if you dont blow it. Most of the people i have come across are really nice and just like to shoot the breeze. Start off by telling them a little about you and ask if they are accepting applications anytime in the near future.
