Citation 5 type rating
Ok, so an job oppertunity has popped up and I need to find a place to get a Citation type rating. A SIC is manditory but if the price is not that different a PIC would be best. Can anyone recommend a place? Thanks. PM me if needed.

There are probably a dozen places where you can get a CE500 type rating.
The cheapest simulator-based training will be Simcom in MCO/SDL or PrestoSim in DFW; for in-airplane types there are a few places but I have experience with Arizona Type Ratings and can recommend them.
Something to really look out for is insurance; if you'll only be a copilot it probably doesn't matter but MAKE SURE the insurance policy you'd be flying under will accept your training provider so you don't waste your money. This can be problematic when getting a type in an airplane when many insurers want 12-month simulator training.

The employer does not use an approved training provider? - where do they send their pilots to school now?

Do you have the website for simcom? When I put it in the search all I get are computer sims. Thanks. I am from the Pac/NW and so the AZ school is pretty attractive. Generally what are the costs for this rating?

Google Simcom, and its the very first hit.
SimCom Simulator Training Centers
CE500 types will be in the $11-13k range.

Anything remotely that cheap will be a wham-bam type done in an airplane over just 2-3 days; you can find these places on the internet but again make sure your insurance will accept this training if you plan on being a PIC. For an SIC, it may not matter as much.

Yeah, I have been calling and emailing. The prices are anywhere between $14,900 - $5,000 from what I have seen. Still searching. I am hesitant about the 3 day only 5 flt hrs though. I have nearly 1,000 hr turbine but still I am concerned about getting so little training.
