Default Contracting on a Bermuda Registered Aircraft

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience for an FAA licensed pilot contracting on a Bermuda Registered aircraft. I understand you have to get the validation at a cost of $2,000USD for a specific type. Is this something that can be done quickly and via fax, as time is an issue.

And in terms of taxes. What kind of % would one be looking at as an American freelancing for a VP registration and to who are those taxes paid to?

Thanks in advance for your input.
