Good afternoon all,
I'm doing a little research on a few different aircraft for my company. We are strongly considering the 560 encore. Any opinions on the 400XP, excel or 560s?
Thanks

The Encore and the Beechjet are in the same class....the Excel, one rung up the ladder. It really doesn't compare to either of the light jets except with cruise speed. In order to figure out which is the best for you, its important to know your average trip (city pairs, runway length at each end, number of pax & bags, etc).
The Beechjet is faster than the Encore, has a slightly larger cabin cross-section, and in my opinion slightly better avionics because I prefer Collins to Honeywell.
That said, the Encore will have trip lengths only a couple minutes slower than the Beechjet, probably have greater full-fuel payload, will need less runway to takeoff or land, and cost the same or slightly less to operate.
Both are mature airframes with good support, so that shouldn't be an issue.
The Encore is an excellent climber, the Beechjet not so much...but the Beechjet provides a much better ride in turbulence than any straight-wing Citation.

XL would be number one on my list. Big cabin, APU.
Currently fly the last Encore+, nice avionics, did 1800 nm the other day, no wind.
After experiencing Raytheon product support for years, anything Cessna.
Sovereign is still my favorite.
