Its fine if the operation wants the "perfect pilot/employee" to do everything on that laundry list, however, they must be willing to pay for it.

I don't know the cost of living in Montana, but 62k seems low for that amount of work.

Sounds like most corporate jobs, except for the retirement and health care packages.

Except for the antique car mechanic, it is a typical single pilot gig, only this guy has spelled it out better than most.

The first requirement to be the perfect person would be to want to live in a town of 5300 a hundred miles from Billings. The second requirement is that he isn't too proud to anything other than fly a plane.

If you dont like it dont apply?

At least the guy spells it out up front!...that says more than half the lower end corp jobs out there today.

Someone who wants to live in rural Montana might find it perfect, maybe not you or I...but who cares?...at least you could pay the rent and eat as opposed to the 20K people make at the regionals?

Exactly! For that "perfect person" this could be the perfect job. In my younger days, with less experience, I might have jumped on the gig. It isn't my dream job, but for a year or two, I could have done alright. For the guy who wants to live in Montana and not fly TOO much, this could be the gig.

To the man writing the job description" kudos for trying to be complete and accurate. There are a bunch of folks who are not as forthcoming.

Lewistown

Lewistown is a nice town to live in and nestled near some mountains with a few lakes. Good fishing and hunting there. Be prepared for plenty of snow in the winter. The salary is probably commensurate for the area. The cost of living is not out of sight. I'm a native of Great Falls about 100 miles west and spent a fair amount of time in Lewistown.

Sounds like a difficult employer to work for, but in this day and age of high unemployment the overall package might be fine for the right person.

At least the job post didn't say "must have own credit card, or pilot must pay for own recurrent training."

Retension will be a continual problem with this demanding of a boss, and from what I've seen so far, this boss is probably untrainable to reasonable expectations, so I guess it's his problem that he has to keep firing and hiring pilots. The guy will never understand that the more he demands, the more likely that the only applicants will be knuckleheads with no where else to go.

I think they have had something like 179 apps for the job.
