Yes that cyclical. I used to work there. The good news is that they'll hire you back after the downturn is over.

Overseas business can help to soften the blow a bit, but a big downturn here in the US affects most everybody else too.

Anybody here actually from Peoria?

Lived a few towns over for a bit. It's not awful but not great. It's all what you make of it.

In my past I knew a former chief pilot there. I never got a chance to talk to him about it, but mutual acquaintances said that he was enjoying it. I'm not sure why he left though. I'm assuming a better opportunity presented itself.

no word... I'm right at mins so I would assume that probably rules me out. The worst they can do is tell me no! I'll keep on applying when I see the post though! Persistence has got to pay off!

Im a Peorian. Also heard a rumor they are selling the 604s and upgrading to Gulfstreams

Minimum hours is just a guideline, means very little. I dont think I ever met the desired hour requirements for any job I was offered.

FAR more important are your internal connections, background, personality, and interview skills. Yes, persistence also counts.

Good Luck!

That'd make sense, they need at least 1 Global, Gulfstream or large Falcon. They do a lot of business in Asia, the Mid East and deep in South America.

It would be one thing if they had to one stop only, but the CL604 doesn't have the range to do Anchorage-China,Singapore, Thailand and all these places, does it??? That means a two stop journey from Peoria. Seems like an ultra-long range bizjet is in order

They do have at least one G550 (if not 650) on order.
