Default King Air 350

Does anyone know what the daily rate is for a F.O. in the Northeast on a King Air 350?

Im paid $350/day (not typed), plus expenses, then up to $500/day once typed.

Not always. I used to do line service and the PIC of the 350 would let me fly on MX flights. After I got my ATP, he told me he would pay me $350/day when the actual SIC was on vacation, sick, personal day, etc.....His insurance also states that since he has a single pilot type in the 350, the right seat must be occupied by a MEL rated pilot. Since I don't have any "formal" training (SimCom, Flight Safety, etc), I just log it as dual received and total time to be safe. To answer your question, yes and no. It depends on the employer and what their insurance company requires (whether they be typed and current, sic training, or no training).

A lot of good that single pilot type rating did him

No harm on getting one if you're not paying for it, right?

I agree. I got one myself though I'll never use it at my job at least.

reason I ask, is I am PIC with about 4000 hrs PIC in the 350. EFIS-85 and at the present, flying Proline 21.

However when I retire, I would like to "stay in the game" but I am not sending myself to recurrent every year. No, I don't want to work at Simuflite/FSI so they "pick up the recurrent."

Nor do I want a full time job where I am answering to the pager/cell/BB every minute. Sorry folks. (Jeez, I am kinda high maintenance with all these don't-wants)

But, if I can be a contract copilot a few times a month to get away and give momma a break, then I will do it, assuming the pay/sacrifice trade off is worth it.

If someone needs Proline 21 copilot (with ATP/MEI with 4000 TT PIC B350, plus I am fun to hang out with....) to run the FMS and engage the Yaw Damp at 350-500 a day, I will probably go for that....

The 350 im in has a Proline, its so nice compared to other KAs I've flown. Okay, back on topic, I would assume (I know, I know about assuming ) that it would be fine to sit as SIC although you may not be 'current.' Forgive me for not remembering any one website (maybe, findapilot.com), you can upload a resume as a contract pilot and just state how much time you have in the 350 and that you dont have a current type. I've had several friends use that site and get a few hits doing it.

Not very helpful, but best of luck!
