Flew many trips to Cabo in King Airs, Premier, and Hawkers from 1992-2006. Did my own "handling" as my Owner was too "frugal". All were generally a pain, though I got to know how who and how much to grease their palms but still not efficient. Anyway, just flew back to Mexico with another Owner who respected my experience and opinion and used a "Handler"....life was so much easier. Money (still too much) is better spent and time is a lot shorter.

Thanks for all the input. We are going to puerto Vallarta. I think it is pretty consensus that I am getting a handler. I flew into Mexico a few years ago part 135, I was just curious if part 91 flights warranted the same need. Glad I asked because it seems like they do.

Only one FBO at Vallarta. They are good folks. Use handler but you will have good time. All the hotels are near airport, which is good.

See ya

The commandante (aka poppa smurf) is the biggest hard a$$ i have ever come across in 15+ years of flying to mexico. It is always something every time you have to deal with him.
