Does anyone have any details about Jack Henry flying operation in Monett MO. Other than it is out in the sticks I'm wondering if its a good opportunity.

Used to fly for their retail neighbors to the south and never heard particularly good things about Jack Henry. But that's just the rumor mill. Don't know anyone there personally.

The store in downtown KC closed last month...after 81 years. If that is any testament to some sign of the flight department's survival.

They fly into our airport a lot and talking to their pilots they seem happy and I they have never had anything bad to say. They get to fly in jeans and they just got rid of their Encores for new Phenom 300s.

I interviewed there over a decade ago. I think I would have been happy there. They did me the biggest favor by not hiring me. I've been meaning to add them to my Christmas card list. I have spoke to a former pilot and he didn't have good things to say.

Thanks for the replies; I'm from that area so I'm very familiar and have been flying 20 years for the Air Force and trying to either fly for an airline or corporate. Don't have experience in either so any and all comments regarding personal experience with both are appreciated.

They now have three Phenom 300s all under a year old (one just about two weeks off the assembly lines) with the garmin 3000 suite. They also have one Encore that they use but will be replacing next year. A bonanza is used rarely for some trips to KC.

Pay is $50,000 to start with potential upgrade in one year with significant pay raise (up to $90k)

Monett is a small town (8,000 or so). But it's a good flight department now (used to have a bad reputation and brought on some new management). 12 pilots. Big travel department. Full time ground crew. Flying only technicians and occasionally the executives. 400-500 hours a year with potential for more if you want to fly more. 8 hard days off a month.

As mentioned before, uniform is jeans and a polo.

Most of their interviewees came from a pool that had already been established from previous communication. I interviewed before the recent posting came out and was offered the job a couple days later, but declined as I plan to make the jump to the 121 world.

Overall, if you are familiar with the area and can see yourself living there (or anywhere within an hour) I would highly recommend JHA.
