CJ1 pay?

What would be reasonable daily compensation for a CJ1 PIC? The job that's being offered is on a stand by basis.

Generally speaking, you will probably have better luck going near the high side, especially with some experience. It shows you think something of your time and capability. If they seriously want to haggle too much you probably don't want to work for them anyway. I know a guy who just got a King Air gig because he charged $200 a day more than the next candidate. Selling yourself short can mean more than just less pay; it can easily make the difference in getting the job. Good luck

Impressive. Early on I was beat down on my price, yet was still higher than another guy so I never got the trips anyways. I believe the phrase is "the best thing that never happened"

The instance I cited with the King Air is true, as I know both parties. We all put our number out and takes our chances. I can also think of a couple of relatively high profile accidents that, in each case, occurred not long after it was decided to go with cheaper crews... And sorry, I ought not identify those occurrences...
