Pilot - Fixed-Wing Jet Captain or First Officer

Southern Company pilots are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of company executives, employees, and business associates conducting business on behalf of Southern Company and its subsidiaries.

Position Location:
Dekalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) in Atlanta, Georgia Must currently reside, or being willing to relocate, within 55 miles of PDK.

Specific Job Requirements:
Captain
* Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
* Flight Time Requirements:
* 3,000 Hours Total Time
* 1,500 Hours PIC Multi-Engine (Fixed-Wing)
* 1,000 Hours Multi-Engine Turbine Preferred (Fixed-Wing)
* First-Class FAA Medical Certificate (Must be able to acquire)
First Officer
* Commercial Pilot Certificate, with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
* Flight Time Requirements:
* 1,500 Hours Total Time
* 500 Hours PIC Multi-Engine (Fixed-Wing)
* 500 Hours Multi-Engine Turbine Preferred (Fixed-Wing)
* First-Class FAA Medical Certificate (Must be able to acquire)
Formal Education Requirements
* High School Diploma, or equivalent.
* College Degree desirable
Skills & Abilities:
* Perform PIC and SIC duties, as defined in the Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
* Must be a self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision
* Must be a cooperative team player
* Must accept flexible and dynamic schedules, including early mornings, late nights, weekend flights and overnight travel
* Be willing to accept temporary assignments at other company domiciles, on occasion.
* Must have good communications skills
* Must be able to interact appropriately with executive level customers
* Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) and ISBAO standards.

Yeah, if you actually go to the questions it also ask if you have a G280. They might be getting ready to change or adding some Gulfstreams.

That G280 is a great airplane - I got a close-up look at one recently. Love the ProLine Fusion up front. Very versatile airplane. Was never a big fan of the look of the G200, but the G280 is definitely an improvement in many ways.

Currently operating the 45 & 75. Bases in PDK and BHM, PNS and GPT are no longer. Talks are ongoing on what the next frame will be. Not much of a schedule, pay substandard imho.....but a solid company with strong pilot group.

I was told anywhere between high 60's/low 70's to start, senior guys making near 6 figures. Current guys hoping with the new frames comes a new pay scale.
