Hey Buddy,
You’re right. I picked up an inaccurate meme. But I also conceded it was in error and replaced it with a meme that reflects the reality of the moment. The second meme is SPOT ON. You also haven’t acknowledged the spew of misinformation in your original posting. Or the fact I illuminated your gross ignorance on the issue. But that’s alright. I know you’re reading this. You are not my buddy. You look completely pedantic. Keep going. Please do. Prove me even more correct. On a public forum. Remember when you posted about a woman being a "white trash"? I think you had another sexist adjective in there too. I dont want to missquote so go ahead and fill us all in. |

I questioned the data and manner in which it was collected from the start. Survival rates in the 99% plus range. What was my misinformation. I have provided support. I dont care about feelings on such and if you choose to accept or not. Just follow what you want. Dont let evidence cause you to reconsider. You conduct yourself foolishly. I cast serious doubt on any of your drivel.

Prove me wrong. 1% Fatality is still a big deal. So don’t give me the 99% “drivel.” 1% in the US = 3 million people in coffins. Thanks. I’m just concerned about the health of my family, my neighbors and my airline community. F*ck me right? |

I'm not comparing a year to a month. The average flu season is 16 weeks long. 112 days. Nearly all of those flu deaths will occur during that time frame. The earliest COVID 19 death in the US is now estimated at Feb 7 per the CDC; 74 days ago. If the six states that are exceeding their previous flu deaths were at the same average COVID19 ratio as the remaining forty-four states, the national death toll would be around 24,000 today, well in line with a moderate flu season over the same span of time as a typical flu season. Obviously local factors are vital to identifying and mitigating problem areas and there is something very significant about the NYC area and outlying areas from NYC.
What? I specifically point out NY and NJ. You can't compare COVID19 to the flu. It's not the flu. It's a totally different virus and doing so just gives you a bunch of false preconceptions. So, just forget about the flu. The important things that we do know about this virus are that it's extremely contagious, it has a long contagious incubation period, and it affects people disproportionately. The point of a novel virus is that it's never thinned the herd before, so it's a lottery as to whether or not you and your family are resistant. We're going to have to reopen the economy, but it's probably smarter to do it after we've learned a little more about the virus, it's strengths, weaknesses, possible treatments, and spun up the logistics chain on PPE and med equipment rather than just throwing a blind hail Mary. |

I dont need to touch your white trash remark and I believe there was a sexist one too. 3. The fatality rate appears to be trending BELOW 1%. Like a fraction of one percent. Certain populations are more vulnerable. 4. Do you concede that a great depression also causes harm? How much approximately? 5. Your "F me" remark? Thats on you, again. Dont straw man me. 6. Every time you call me buddy you play onto my hands. So keep repsresnting yourself childishly 7. Your clear lack of professionalism is curious. How did you get to be an ATP? I assume you are an ATP. |

you are right, I made an assumption that he was talking about medicine not pushed by mainstream big pharm. melatonin vs ambian, Cbd vs opiod, arnica vs Advil, sweet Annie vs heavy anti viral meds. I was wrong and I apologize.

Yeah, BS that does not meet standards of efficacy. Yes, not every procedure or drug is necessarily going to benefit you or have the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. If you have a decent doctor, they are going to inform you of this. At the same time, they aren't going to recommend BS strategies that won't help you, like the ones you suggest. How do you prove you are not a quack? With science.

I'm not comparing the viruses themselves. I'm trying to point out the lack of context given by people who shout that we've already had 45,000+ deaths in the last 75 days.
I mean, it's definitely in that range: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...ses-in-us.html You can argue details that might amount to a 1 or 2% error, but I don't think that changes the overall picture all that much. I've heard the argument primarily go to undercounting. This article points out that overall death rates have been much higher than pre-COVID19, likely a result of undereporting COVID19 deaths. It's in-line with what most media outlets are reporting: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...ng-deaths.html The only news outlet I've heard the overcounting theory come from is Fox, and it was from 2 weeks ago. Basically, a family physician disagreed with the CDC's methodology for diagnosing COVID19 deaths in the absence of tests: https://www.foxnews.com/media/physic...unt-guidelines Apparently the rumor has mostly been circulating on social media, but I don't have FB, Instagram, LifeInvader, etc, so I missed it: https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/so...19-death-toll/ |
