This article is worth the read. Of particular note: "For example, in Hong Kong, only four confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic, despite high density, mass transportation, and proximity to Wuhan. Hong Kong’s health authorities credit their citizens’ near-universal mask-wearing as a key factor (surveys show almost 100 percent voluntary compliance)."
Wearing masks will be the new societal norm -- at least until there's a widespread vaccine.
They've been doing it in Asia for decades.

Unpopular tinfoil hat question..if wearing masks are so important to spreading all but certain death according to some...why are some airlines waiting until the 11th to implement the mask policy? Some things just aren’t adding up.

But if you get pi$$ on your hands and then touch something, the next person who touches the same object also has pi$$ on his hands. Why stop at masks? Up until a week ago, the Surgeon General was emphatic that paper and cloth masks were not only ineffective, but also dangerous!
