Have you noticed how the entire media apparatus has included all the same blacklists and talking points? In one state, a doctor was shut down by the government for doing intravenous Vitamin C, which is a well known, safe, and effective treatment too. The problem is that it actually works to help patients with weak immune systems to recover. But, there are certain politicians who benefit from disaster and from people being jailed in their own house. Websites like Google and Facebook have gone full book burning in their censorship efforts to ban any discussion on treatments, unless they involve vaccines.

Thinking critically means looking at all sides, doing your own due diligence on what's presented, and reaching your own conclusions. It sounds like you have way too much trust in your media sources and absolutely distrust opposition. Remember, journalists are professional journalists. Regardless of how left or right they are, they aren't doctors, engineers, scientists, political scientists, tradesmen, or any other expert aside from 'journalist.' There's a reason you'd never talk to a journalist from any source after an aviation incident, the same logic applies to trusting them with medical advice. If you really want to see unadulterated controlled experiments, get into PubMed and pay special attention to how large and diverse their sample sizes are (I wouldn't bet my life on the results from an experiment with 5 people). Believe it or not, the experts have a huge personal and professional stake in correctly handling this crisis and even they don't fully know what's going on right now. It's like asking the NTSB a week after the Max crash what happened and why they've grounded the Max


Aso, Chloroquine isn't the only drug out there and it's not exactly being kept a secret; it's gotten a ton of attention, trials, etc. This virus has only been around for a few months, it takes time to develop new treatments, and right now we're basically 'guessing and checking' repurposed drugs. It's not ideal. The process moves slow because once it's approved by the FDA and mass distributed a 1% error that wasn't obvious in studies done with 30 or 40 people can end up killing millions. Also, to run those experiments on living people you have to expand the scope carefully, and slowly, which also takes a set amount of time. Is there alternative medicine out there that works? Probably. But the resources haven't been devoted to it to verify it's safety and results, so it could range from miracle-cure to, placebo effect, to extremely lethal.
