Promising Treatment & Immunity
I was actually quite surprised to see Sorrento Theuraputics make these statements out of the blue today....
https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com...hting-covid-19 Looks simpler and quicker to validate and trial then a vaccine. If it works like they think it does, it would provide a quick OVID cure, plus it could be used to confer temporary immunity (weeks? months?) to healthy people to allow them to circulate freely in society. |

Does look game changing, production at 200,000 per month initially. If approved this IP could be licensed and everyone who wants to be immune could be before the end of the year!

Don't get too excited. Other therapies have worked in the lab but then fail in animal or clinical trials. This still has away to go before it is of any use.

Suprising PR release.. i don't know this company at all. I see they bought a GMP contract manufacturing facility but I can't find any products that they have an approved NDA for? I see they have some planned INDs. Maybe I'm missing it somewhere. Looks like it was a preclinical study, in vitro. Or was animal dosing done? I can't find anything from what I read with data. Maybe something more detailed out there. A lot has changed in monoclonal antibodies, but they still take forever to develop. Computer modeling and Carc/Tox studies being done virtually reduce time quite a bit. You never know what an antibody does until gets into the human body though. Fingers crossed.... |

As far as other types of therapies are concerned, one of the most promising out there is Leronlimab. It’s currently going through placebo-controlled trials at top university hospitals such as UCLA and we should start seeing some results in the upcoming weeks. It was originally designed as an HIV drug, but it has shown some excellent results treating COVID patients in preliminary testing. https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/c...speed/2345620/ https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04347239 |

Their stock is already through the roof. That's actually what gives me some confidence in this one, they are an established public company in bio-tech and if they misled investors with a half-baked PR stunt they'd be in a world of hurt. They must be pretty darn sure of themselves. Might call em up and see if they're hiring.
todays companies use carefully worded press statements to remain clear of SEC's gunsites. to include a disclaimer at the end. lots of legalese in the press release: shows potential expects could potentially will likely be initial tests strong canditate Press release was issued by the company themselves, and shotgunned to all media outlets. Local San Diego paper picked up the story about the local San Diego company. stock is up https://investors.sorrentotherapeuti...node/11241/pdf |

stock going higher means a lot of people are buying. nothing more. it will crash 150% if the non-human tested-yet study fails

Yes, there's an art to that game, but it was still a bold move... confident or risky, one of the two.
National media picked it up as well. https://seekingalpha.com/news/357516...ure-feuerstein |

But like all things bio-tech, very cautious optimism is as far as you want to go, otherwise may as well go to vegas. |
