4 to 6 week lockdown proposed

Biden’s covid guy says we may need a lockdown. I was starting to think we might avoid mass furloughs.

I was thinking about this...if this is truly what they intend to do,send everyone 10k but earmark the money for paying living expenses while the country is “closed”. That being said, furloughs will be the least of everyone’s concerns. BK will become a real possibility for a few,and another regional or 2 might end up getting Compass’d

But he said he was going to shut down the virus, not the country.

He also thanked people for electing Beau to the Senate when he introduced his two granddaughters as Beau and Hunter. It’s fine...

A shut down would maybe equate to another round of funding. Without another shutdown and the vaccine near there isn’t much public will to keep ALL the airlines afloat.

1) The POTUS can only recommend a national shutdown. In reality only NY, NJ, MA, CA and maybe MI would comply.

2) Given the fact that there’s no scientific consensus that lockdowns are a net benefit — especially in light of the Great Barrington Declaration and the WHO’s own statement last month — the chance of the public putting up with this is slim to none.

Maybe only those states would comply, but if it frightens the consumer all over again then that will be the bigger problem for us. Hopefully by now people aren't as easily spooked and know their personal risk factor.
