if you're going to sling that mud, at least spell the word right, or are you in cognitive decline yourself? I appreciate the fact that he has advisers with differing views and perspectives. Most adults can talk with people who have different views on issues without imploding. It shows a leader with an open mind and a willingness to hear different perspectives. It's certainly better than 4 years of sycophants and yes men afraid to hurt the president's feelings lest they be fired via twitter. 01-20-21 |

I do agree with most of that.
I think the election was only 'close' artificially, because it takes more time to count mail in ballots and because you could argue that the EC has been gerrymandered in favor of the GOP, which is why so many people are asking if the EC best represents the will of the American people. My stance remains that votes in a national election should all count equally and that would force the GOP to adapt a platform that better serves all Americans. Ideally there'd be 3 parties of equal standing, but that'll never happen. |

You can start in antiquity with Athens and work your way up time from there. History is littered with the corpses of nations that were democracies at one time or another. Plato wrote about, Socrates was sentenced to death ultimately by the Athenian "democracy". Socrates had a few choice things to say about democracies as well (not positive).
Of course you are too intellectually lazy to bother. So what's the point in arguing about with you. Standing by for: nvrgofullretard OOFFFFF beta82 beernutt(z) Gspeed Speed Select and the host of other stalkers on here who patrol the forums like hyenas looking to stamp out any slightly to the right of left opinion posted on these forums. Your reading comprehension is weak. Of course there are democratic nations that have collapsed. My point was that I don't think that there is any example of the collapse of a nation where the cause was the use of the popular vote. Examples from antiquity aren't exactly relevant either because those "democracies" were typically limited to landholders, and don't really resemble the system of enfranchisement we have in the United States. Examples like Nazi Germany don't exactly work either because of the rampant voter intimidation at that time in Germany, and the aftereffects of WW1 and the Treaty of Versaille probably had more to do with it. In any case, it's not worth arguing with you because you either willfully misinterpreted what I said or maybe you're a bit obtuse. I don't think the electoral college should be a left v right issue, but enjoy your disingenuous and unnecessarily partisan views of the world I guess |

You act like it the left has the overwhelming majority which is not the case as the election was practically 50/50. Like any lefty you want everyone to bend to your desire. How about the left move center and to a platform that better serves all Americans.
