Second of all, you should really respect your brain more than to use the daily mail as a source, king. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/how-biased-is-your-news-source-you-probably-wont-agree-with-this-chart-2018-02-28

Thirdly, the claim you are citing is just as disingenuous and trying to use the over seventy percentage for everyone. It includes children and 20 year olds. So let’s look at someone more average 55 show .4% (ten times more than your bizarre claim) and 65 shows 1.4%

Keeping in mind this was from an even more recent study after vaccinations had begun and treatments improved. And still back to the original topic are MUCH more than the seasonal flu.

Bonus “if you somehow get infected”....literally one in every ten Americans has somehow gotten infected.....what are you even getting at with this one.

Don’t bother picking the mic back up.
Ah so you haven't sacraficed anything, but you're fine with making others continue to sacrafice. Seems typical for the pro-restrictions crowd.

By not sacrificing, I meant that I did more things outdoors. Hiking, surfing, camping rather than go to concerts or clubs, I became a better chef and homebrewer rather than go out to eat or to a bar. I did things on zoom, I eloped instead of having a wedding. I ordered takeout from small business and minority owned places whenever I could. I wore a mask everywhere. I got a stationary bike and weights rather than going to the gym. I got vaccinated. Life totally changed. But it doesn’t have to be a sacrifice. These evil overbearing shutdowns have been unbelievably manageable compared to how people on here paint them.

yep, you don’t own a small business like a bar or gym or theater, do you though?

Yep, a young virtue signaling selfish type who thinks they contributed and sacrificed.

Well guess what, many others did not have the financial backing to even consider any of what you wrote. Since it’s obvious you had plenty of money to keep your life style relatively normal did you ever consider instead of buying that bike, becoming a better chef and home brewer spending those same dollars with local restaurants and merchants who were being crushed by uncaring liberals and social elites?

Probably not.

I mentioned that I did. But you are probably upset that I specifically sought out black and asian owned small businesses and would walk for miles on overnights to get food from them. But I also bought more from my neighborhood board game store to keep them going. Did you order takeout every day to do your part? My point is those places had options to mitigate it also. That boardgame store started doing curbside growler fills. A local theatre started doing live-streamed performances. Part of becoming a better chef was from paying for zoom cooking classes with my friends and family, to both remotely socialize but also support the business and employees. Yes, all of this was through the good fortune of not getting furloughed. But I did try to help and luckily there was other government assistance, but I fully believe most people had ways to soften the blow of lockdowns. What did you do to help?

Didn't have your income restricted, didn't see all you worked for forcibly shut down. Wow what a hero you are.

Curious, how did you become a better chef by ordering out food every day?

Glad you sought out the black and Asian owned businesses - but what about the Norwegians or the Haitians or the Lebanese? Did you do any other virtue signaling we should all be aware of?

Wow! You pull out the race card!

Yep virtue signaling to the max!

You have done well grasshopper.

What did I do to help?

As many young men do this becomes a size comparison.

To give you the best answer, it doesn’t matter what I did. What only matters is what you do!

Y’all are the only ones trying to whine about virtue signaling. I’m just explaining what I did to try to be safe, follow guidelines, and support people that were effected more than me. I don’t see how yelling about big scary coastal elites and going to Waffle House did any more good. I’m not even saying that lockdowns weren’t hard. But of rather try to think of ways to cope with them than to lose more people.

Also in the beginning, we absolutely prepared for me to get furloughed and made plans for what I would do. No pilot knew how this would be. It was scary and stressful. But in the end you could be safe and even over the top with covid precautions and hold on to a year of your life at the cost of someone else’s life.

I happen to still be an airline pilot and don’t meal prep as much as I should. And I tend to eat every day. There is plenty of time for both. Weird question.

I would gladly seek them out if they become marginalized or the victims of hate crimes as much as blacks and Asians recently. Do you systematically go down the list of UN countries in order when you meal plan?
