Sounds easy enough but may not always be. Many countries, mine included, will only give one shot of the two shot vaccines to those with a prior confirmed infection. They say studied have shown that those who already have antibodies from a prior infection don't benefit from a second shot. Antibody levels after one shot given 6-8 months after infection, are at least as high as they are in people who have not previously been infected but received two shots. As a result the EU vaccine "passport" shows "fully vaccinated" for people who have been infected and have subsequently received one shot. That's the situation I'm in as are millions more Europeans. Will this be accepted as fully vaccinated by the US authorities? It'll be interesting

I'm sure that any reasonable policy will be allowed... we don't need to require that everybody meet our precise standards, just that they meet their own local standards if those are reasonable.

Just like we don't have to meet all foreign-equivalent 121 rules for crew/aircraft certification to fly international... we just have to meet our own 121 rules + ICAO. Somebody who can't even meet ICAO mins will not be welcome of course.

Crew members have been excluded from certain vaccination and quarantine requirements while on duty.
Same crew member travels with their significant other and then you are required to be jabbed!?!?

Go figure.

That makes perfect sense, therefore I predict that will not happen. Stay tuned I guess!

The UK is treating those without a vaccine administered outside the UK, US or EU as being unvaccinated.

Canada have already decided not to accept as fully vaccinated those who have received only one does of a two-dose vaccine following infection even though this is how a number of EU countries define fully vaccinated for those who have previously been infected (confirmed by PCR test).

from: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/tr...etermine-fully

Recovered from COVID-19 with one dose

If you have recovered from COVID-19, you still need a full series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine or combination of accepted vaccines. If you’ve only had one dose of an accepted vaccine other than Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), you don’t qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption."
