Mask mandates extended

Who didn't see this coming. |
maybe its because alabama health department just reported they have 2 ICU beds remaining in the whole state? not sure if its true, but if it is...holeee cow. What is true is that there were 83,693 people hospitalized this week, according to data from the US Department of Health and Human Services. this will hurt deltas bottom line

everyone should just stop wearing the mask at airports. 2 unused ICUs remaining in a whole state kinda sounds like a big deal. But I stayed at a holiday in last night (or hgi millennium if that’s your thing) why are you so mad and offensive/offended all the time? Need a hug? |

A friend works for the Health Department in my state. 75% of the hospitalized Covid patients here are vaccinated.
When are we going to admit that the vaccine has failed? There. I said it. |

When are we going to admit that the vaccine has failed? There. I said it. IT WAS NEVER GOING TO DO ANYTHING BETTER THAN THAT. Those who told you it would either knowingly lied to you or were abysmally ignorant themselves. While we are on the subject, the delta variant was NOT caused by people selfishly not getting immunized. It came from India where about a billion and a quarter people have been UNABLE to get immunized. This is not EVER going to completely go away, we are going to have to live with it, like we do influenza, Epstein-Barr virus, Merkel Cell Polyoma Virus, the other four commonly circulating human coronaviruses, etc. PS: You also aren’t going to live forever regardless of how many diseases you do or do not get. |
I love how Sarah Nelson says the AFA is in full support of extending the mask mandate, meanwhile her members are being verbally and in some cases physically assaulted daily over the whole mask policing FAs are required to do.

this is not an attack, this is not negative, just trying to understand your rationale The topic was Texas governor testing positive for Covid-19. No, that’s not a big deal and shouldn’t even be news since he’s vaccinated. Positivity rates and cases shouldn’t even be news anymore with current vaccination rates. |

this is not an attack, this is not negative, just trying to understand your rationale Note - the term “net” is used because, for instance, one hospital may have a net negative of ICU beds because it had to move ICU patients to another area of the hospital while a hospital in another part of the state may have more available ICU beds. also note: As of Monday, 2,634 patients were being treated for COVID-19 in Alabama hospitals, including 40 pediatric patients, the association said. That figure is near the peak of 3,084 COVID-19 hospitalizations during January’s coronavirus surge. according to state Department of Public Health data. |
Vaccinated passengers should have the option of not wearing masks. I understand that the vaccinated can still spread it but at this point why are we responsible for protection of those choosing to remain unvaccinated. They are making a choice for whatever reason and that’s ok in my book. They also by and large don’t want others protecting them anyway.
I say voluntarily disclose your vaccination status and have the option of not wearing the mask on planes. Choose not to disclose or choose to be unvaxed then mask up. I honestly wish it were optional for everyone but this seems like a good compromise. |

Guess the airlines won’t be getting any of my money for yet another 6 months.

Probably also more due to overall health as well. It was well documented early on that COVID was really bad for those who are obese.

This is a very, very huge part of the equation, probably even more than vaccine hesitancy if we're being honest. Nobody in the spotlight is allowed to call for making healthy lifestyle adjustments because it can be perceived as fat shaming, and that would sound mean and harsh. And we just can't have that apparently.
God forbid we pick on drunks or drug addicts, too. |
If I have to wear a Mask "for their health" if you are visibly morbidly obese, I should be able to knock the triple whopper with large fries and a large sweet tea the heck out their hands.
I ride a 24 mile loop on my mountain bike most days I'm home. Some trails, plus the bike path at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. About once a week, as I am down there, som 350 pounder at 5'4" "where's your Myaaask?!!!" To me, and any other unmasked people. As they waddle and inhale fried food while smoking. How about we just not treat the unvaccinated if they could have gotten it? Bam! Hospital problem solved. Plus the global IQ would probably go up a few points.

I mean, that’s a start. But at this point forget not treating them, how about not allowing them to operate in polite society? They’ve had their chance, and they’ve made whatever backward decision they wanted to, but it’s time for those of us that have done a very small thing to protect everyone to get back to normal, and let the anti vaxxers starve for all I care.

[QUOTE=Nvrgofullretard;3281229] I highlighted the fact that Alabama effectively no longer has ICUs, to show that covid is spreading again and may be influencing the decision of mask mandates. Wether we like it or not the DATA being pushed by official government sources indicates that covid is strong in the south/QUOTE]
Covid is “strong” because .053% of the population is hospitalized in Alabama with Covid? Alabama has 15102 hospital beds and 2634 people hospitalized with (not because of, with) Covid - 17%. Are you as concerned about the conditions that required the other 83% of the hospitalizations - obesity, diabetes, cancer? what are the expectations- zero Covid? You are going to be disappointed. |

I was being sarcastic and showing the lunacy of the woke crowd who think they should throw any unvaccinated out of a hospital. |

How do we feel about the southern border crossers being let in without testing/vaccinations and then being released into numerous cities/towns around the country? We good with that while citizens are having their balls busted at every turn?
