Sick leave ?
 

Question:

Example: If a pilot is out sick for 30 hours and on day 2 calls in well. If they opt to pick up a WS/GS, I understand that the credit will go back to pay back his sick leave allotment. (or single pay/ no credit for GS)

But, does that sick leave credit also go toward the 100 hours for verification purposes? If they fly back 15 hours, have they now used only 15 toward the trigger?

What does single pay/no credit exactly mean?

You get straight pay for the value of the trip. (Single pay)

You don't get credit for the purpose of filling up on reserve or meeting the green slip trigger.

For example if you are rerouted and you are eligible for RR pay on the last day you would get single pay credit for the entire trip plus single pay no credit for the reroute last day. Assuming that it is 5:15 they would be pay but not count for reaching the GS trigger if you are under the threshold.

Just an educated guess since I did this before the new sick leave policy. I called in sick for a 4 day which subtracted 21 hours from my bank. On day 3 of the 4 day I picked up a 3 day GS (15:45) which would normally pay 31:30. The company put 10:30 back into my sick leave bank (days 3 and 4 of the original 4 day that were now covered by this 3 day GS) and paid me 20:00 GS pay. The next month my sick bank showed the original balance minus the 21:00 plus the 10:30, or basically I used 10:30 sick leave.

My guess is any sick leave you pay back will not count against your rolling 100 hours since they don't seem to have any way to track that paid back sick leave (and really, even if they could track it, it would be 100% BS to hold paid back time against you). You either have it in your bank or you don't.
