Travelnet question...I just noticed while looking at flights from DUS to ATL that the main page for a flight will show 11 seats in business available and 13 in economy. When I check the standby list it shows 7 seats not assigned in Delta One and 25 in economy. I get why there are more in economy but how can there be less in Delta One? The flight in question is a week away.

The extras shown are the ones sold to HKs (who have not yet checked in for the flight). Delta (and most airlines) block a certain number of customers from getting seat assignment until check-in or at the gate. I don't know why the two sources of numbers use different data...

Exactly. It's just two different pieces of information that can be considered separately. The first screen shows how many seats in a cabin are booked/how many more of them they will sell.
The airport standby list shows seats unassigned. Theoretically (although it wouldn't happen in reality) you could have screen 1 showing all seats booked (0/0) and the airport standby list showing every seat unassigned. In that case, both pages would still be telling you the truth.

My question is how can there be 11 seats showing available in business on the first page and then only 7 seats unassigned on the standby list? HKs should not be a player for a flight that is 7 days away with one going everyday.

I'm not sure what company-specific policy on this is, and don't have a reference for you so I may be off base but my experience is they will have a few held.

It's unusual to see what you are seeing. Travel agents can put a 24 hour hold on seats without purchasing so perhaps that is what happened. Check back today.

Wish I knew. Friday, had a flight to get home with the fam that showed -21 in back/+14 in EC 3 hours before push. Another flight that left at the same time and got us within a couple of hours of home was wide open, so took the safe route. Checked heading to our alternate, and our original flight left with 2 open seats, and 2 junior nonrev onboard.
