You didn't see this years ago. People just want what they want and lawyers have facilitated this lunacy. It's a shame that major companies have folded rather than call these people out. Good on Delta. There was mentioned on the news that American may toughen up their policies as well. I'm 100% in favor of service dogs when necessary, but I just think that it's getting abused in too many cases.

I've seen a guy who has a pit bull as his service dog while jumpseating on Alaska. They have a policy just for him specifically. Whether he gets on a particular flight or not is based on whether the crew is ok with it, if they aren't he has to wait for the next one and see if that crew will allow it. When I saw him he'd been denied on the flight an hour or so prior and was allowed to go on the one I was J/S on. It was a well behaved and well mannered dog, it's a shame that the breed has a self reinforcing stereotype from people raising them to be mean (and choosing them to raise taht way in the first place because of the stereotype).

Maybe someday Delta will try harder to influence the ATL to fix the damn airport entrances and TSA security wait times. Busiest airport in the world and no matter how you drive to ATL the expressway shrinks to one-lane....and what is with all the crosswalks across the arrival and departure lanes? Has ATL never heard of pedestrian walkways? And why would they design an airport with ticketing and baggage claim on the same level?
