Agreed, much worse. The wardrobe is lack of fashion sense or waking up with too little time.

The man bun, like regular b.o., grossly overweight, or other personal slovenliness is more a barameter of the personal attitude towards life.

It’s the opposite. Those hair styles take quite a bit of effort to maintain as opposed to the low maintenance / low effort military style haircuts we tend to have as pilots.

The people I know that have a man bun are far more intelligent and motivated than me.

No hair? No problem. You can rock the skullet.

One time at JazzFest Pete Fountain came out wearing a pony tail.
Then he removed his hat, and the pony tail came off with it. :D

Think they would let me have a pony tail attached to my hat? Might actually make it fun to wear the hat!

I'm not a millennial, but I'm within a few of it. I'm also an ex-military guy, yet have always despised the standard military cliches of hair, regiment, uptiteness, etc.

The captains I fly with that use "military backgound", as an excuse for being buttholes to everyone around them, are the exact same as the "Civillian" sweethearts . They've lost sight of what is important for our JOB. the J O B is about flying people around(safely) not making others miserable (god forbid enjoy themselves), make a bunch of money, and finally go home to someone that gives a ******* about you. Cause no one on the crew gives a ******* about you after the door opens.

But maybe, just maybe, the random few offenders are miserable people, who have all ready chased off anyone who cares, and never learned that lesson....

Having a personal preference is fine, but when that morphs into “despising”, it makes you one of the miserable people. ;)
