Default ATL Employee Discount

Rumor on FB is ATL restaurants and stores are no longer giving a discount to airport employees. I don't go to ATL too much, does anyone know if this is true?

Got one this morning so I’m guessing not.

Had a few minutes last weekend and had breakfast at TGIF and they no longer give an airline discount - not sure about other places

Wonder if the NRA has a Delta discount, I was thinking about signing up.

Because we are pilots and everyone should recognize us with some sort of small discount. I mean after all we don’t make much money, and we are basically hero’s. The least places could do is recognize us with 10% off the #4 biggie sized.

To be good neighbors and preserve their captive audience as long as possible. Plenty of us would rather be elsewhere for training, and the list of advocates to move seems to be growing. There's nothing like a discount to ensure pilots are willing to get shanked on a short stroll to dinner.

Let's be honest. Airport food is artificially expensive. A big reason for that are the amount of people eating on the company dime and to an even less extent, people splurging because it's vacation. As crew, we have to eat most if all our meals in an airport. It is nice when we get a little off recognizing that we are a captive audience eating $17 sandwiches.

It has A LOT more to do with the way airports siphon off huge %'s of the revenue from the stores/restaurants to fund airport operations and fund the continuous "improvements".
