Underwhelming A350???
 

Had a senior 777 Captain on the JS about a month ago and he had a few comments.
-training is not good, lots of busts and manuals/instructors are not up to standards(through no fault of the instructors
-bunk room is in a bad place and impacts F/A work area.
-Jet won't make LA Sydney
-F/A's don't like it.

Finally I believe he said we got these jets cheap because someone backed out last minute. Didn't we originally order 25 with more options? I think he said we're only getting 13 and there maybe doubts about further orders. As say Boeing but have heard a rumor about the A330-900. Thoughts???

They both have virtually same range. LR carries more gas, but is significantly heavier. Big advantage to LR is cargo carrying capability.

I once did an 18+15 leg to NRT on an ER due to volcanic activity over Russia!

I'm proud to say I've never done ANYTHING for 18+15. OUCH!!!

I assume you mean 777ER, not the 7ER!:eek: I didn't think the 7ER could stay in the air for 18+15! Not enough sevens I suspect.

The intergalactic Apple Store is not exactly the place you want to go after you thought they wouldn't send you to training because your retirement was so close.

As to the rest of it, I think the 339is what they lust for but everything beyond that sounds like grain of salt territory. We will find out... In a couple of years.

Especially if your 63 y/o brain is rutted in 20+ years of last-gen Boeing and you haven't been to an initial qual program since you and your fellow Ninjas got on the Whale. (Kinda like an Amish guy showing up at a Virtual Reality convention). 😁
