Underwhelming A350???
Had a senior 777 Captain on the JS about a month ago and he had a few comments.
-training is not good, lots of busts and manuals/instructors are not up to standards(through no fault of the instructors -bunk room is in a bad place and impacts F/A work area. -Jet won't make LA Sydney -F/A's don't like it. Finally I believe he said we got these jets cheap because someone backed out last minute. Didn't we originally order 25 with more options? I think he said we're only getting 13 and there maybe doubts about further orders. As say Boeing but have heard a rumor about the A330-900. Thoughts??? |

I’d be curious if a 777 flyer could chime in...can any of our 777 models, except the LR, do LAX-Sydney??? |

They both have virtually same range. LR carries more gas, but is significantly heavier. Big advantage to LR is cargo carrying capability.

The intergalactic Apple Store is not exactly the place you want to go after you thought they wouldn't send you to training because your retirement was so close. As to the rest of it, I think the 339is what they lust for but everything beyond that sounds like grain of salt territory. We will find out... In a couple of years. |
