Base, aircraft, seniority

I’m sure the info is scattered around here somewhere, but I thought it might be a good idea to consolidate. Which bases have which aircraft and how much time to hold that base/aircraft combo? Teamwork makes the dream work.

New hires are getting CVG? I always hear that it is a small, very senior base in danger of closing soon. I live 10 mins from CVG, so that peaked my interest.😁

No one can figure out why it’s still open. Probably just because DL hates to give a paid move.

You are saying it takes less time to get an A350 than a 777? Or is ATL 777B that senior?

If I were considering employment with Delta, I would personally strike CVG from my mind. Yes, it's a base. Yes, one could conceivably get it as a new hire. But I suspect it'll close once enough of the CVG-based pilots age out (if not sooner). It seems like a large number of their trips start or end with a dead head and sooner or later the company is going to tire of paying that credit. It wouldn't surprise me if the status of CVG ended up being a pawn during C19 negotiations.

Newbie QOL for most who live in Cincinnati is probably better commuting to DTW. I also don't live there, so I could be way off.

I commute to ATL From CVG. It’s easy peasy. DTW only has 4 -5 RJs a day or a 4 hour drive.
