Keep an eye on your bank too. When I came back from mil leave, it mysteriously zeroed out. An email to ALPA Skeds fixed it quickly.
Additionally, if you are below the hours trigger, you can use your bank to fill up to the trigger so you get your GS paid in full instead of single rate til full. Just be sure to execute the bank request NLT the last day of the bid period. |
On RES make sure you check your PB days, especially if they are going directly into the bank.

FYI, any month in which you fly a GS, you are limited to using no more than 5 hours from the bank.

You sure about that? I thought you can use as many hours as you want......but only a max of five will count towards the GS trigger.

What’s the furthest you can “go in the hole” (STS) for your bank?

You can use only enough to bring you up to the ALV. Only 5 count toward the GS trigger.

Can someone give a breakdown for dummies of what the bank is, how it works, and what benefits there might be to using it? Do you have to specifically bank hours up first before using them, or does it pull from vacation, or something else? I've never quite heard it explained well how it functions, and I can't find any reference to it in the scheduling handbook.
Thanks |

Thanks I have put extra hours in now with the idea that on my anniversary they will appreciate in value to second year pay. They also are good to get yourself to the green slip trigger if needed. |
