Anyone working in this industry whining about paychecks not being the exact same month after month, or pay stubs being"too complex" should probably rethink priorities in life. Talk about first world problems. Sheesh

Settling and double standard. This experience isn't acceptable for a customer why would we say its OK? I'm not wasting my energy or negotiating capital on Delta just doing the right thing though. They can manage their own internal "brand." Just sad that we don't rate a fair system. So be it, the perception diminishes a little with every occurrence. And yes they are trying to screw you, prove me wrong. The fix is long overdue, intentionally.

P.S. My son works for another airline. His pay is screwed up virtually every month. |

I have been here over 32 years. Never had a pay issue with the exception of 1 error on non
revenue charges when we did not get on the flight and were charged. You claim they are intentionally messing up pay. The only pilot complaint I have heard from other pilots about pay related to retirement contributions returning from mil leave. Overall the pay system seems to be functioning at a very high level. How often is your pay screwed up? |

Then the errors don't exist, right? Because you say they don't and it hasn't happened to you. High level? That's a laugh ask the ALPA scheduling committee how much extra pay they have recovered.

You are talking two different things. One is errors in scheduling and one is payroll errors. I have freely acknowledged and posted that scheduling is making numerous errors in trip assignments. Again I ask how many errors have been in your paycheck calculations? That was what this discussion is about.

Somebody mentioned the Min day with the 30 hour layovers again.
We have 30 hour layovers because the RON airplane doesn’t sit long enough to make legal rest and there is not a midday service on the right airplane type to swap the crew out. A min day will not solve that problem. It MIGHT make deadheading crew in and out more common than sitting for 30. It WILL have other unintended consequences.....I just hope that people run the solutions and see what the trips actually look like before we go down this road. What i’d like to see is getting the ADG up a bit higher and some language to ensure a degree of RCC input on the rotations before changing philosophies altogether. These 3days with a 30 hr sit and sitting for free isn't fun. Min day would help. |

It would be nice to get paid for that 30hr sit tho.
These 3days with a 30 hr sit and sitting for free isn't fun. Min day would help. Sometimes we are. Just depends on how much other flying your rotation has. Prior to C-12 these turds payed as low as 10.5 hours. After C-12 13.5 hours minimum with the 4.5 guarantee and now at least 15:45 with the 5:15 minimum. One option we should look at is improving the 3.5 - 1 trip rig. I also really like the American 1 for 2 for any mid rotation sits over 2 hours I think - this is something we should go after for sure. Plenty of ways to improve our PWA besides rates and we should consider them all along with improvements to rates. Scoop |
