Too busy counting his coin most likely.

Same. No response. I may give him a call, he seems like he could be the old fashioned type.

If he's so old-fashioned as to not answer email, that doesn't bode well for someone who's supposed to be an expert in a computer bidding system! Also doesn't bode well for customer service communications.

Who were you using before? Was it PBS Bidding Strategies? I ask because I'm considering them, too.

Hmmm I don’t know what to tell you he always emails me back. He charges $30/mth or $300/yr and is really good at it. I believe he is a retired NW guy who worked on the PBS software.

I know this can be VERY subjective, but I’d just like to try another service.....I don’t have the will or time to sit down and learn this system. I’m thinking perhaps a current Delta pilot may be a good person to give me an opinion on how my existing bids have been placed and how I can improve. I’m moving up in seniority, and my schedules are getting worse. Partly attributed to line construction my category and base, but when I see junior dudes with better schedules....well, you can probably guess how that makes me feel....

Try EasyBid...I'm not sure why it hasn't been mentioned here (simple point and click entries). PBS takes 3x longer for most bid entries...I've timed myself. It does everything PBS does but faster.

I'll second the EasyBid recommendation. The interface is much simpler than NavBlue in any of its forms. The step by step logic is useful for understanding what you really bid for. There are a few limitations that I don't specifically recall, but they are easy to work around. Depending how you bid, the monthly changes to your bid take a minimal amount of time.

His attention to communications tends to flow more freely as the bid window approaches. Right now he’s like your Tax guy on April 16; taking a breather after the peak of business. When I picked up his service a few months back, it was getting tight to “go time” before I was sure he was handling my bids, but he did and very well. Did a good job of deciphering my wishes into PBS language and results. Price is half of what was mentioned a few posts back, whiich I presume is for a different provider. $90 for 3 months to get going. Suggest backing up the email with a phone call.

Yeah, I've had EasyBid for approaching two decades, but it seems like Flightline is dying a slow and painful death. Lots of connectivity issues lately. Many others complaining about it on CC. Not reliable. Not sure they'll be viable much longer.

I've heard that, but haven't had any issues myself. I'm sure the discussion on CC went something like this: "hey is anyone having problems with Easybid?", "yes, I heard someone hired at DAL after me, but is senior to me after the merger was able to upload bids, while I can't". "I was screwed in the merger...." Talk about beating a dead horse! :D

Plouffed! :D

But seriously, EasyBid/Flica/FDS has been hit or miss for me lately. Getting "Server not responding" a lot.

Also, I want to try hiring a pro for a bid period or two, see if I can learn something new.
