Long MSY layover
If you're into the Gatsby era feel, check out the New Orleans Athletic Club. Club dates to the 1870's, building to the 1920's. Multiple floors, locker rooms, sauna, steam room, all the equipment you could need, a library, and a bar open Mon-sat noon-2100. I spent a few hours there. Awesome place. Lee at the front desk said to spread the word. $20 daily rate, only about a 5 min walk from the downtown layover hotel.
