Default International Buddy Pass

I’ve never given out a buddy pass and am told they are garbage. However, I have some people with flexible dates that understand the risk and want to go to Europe. I just want to make sure I am not giving them false info.

Assuming no changes or baggage, the price for the tickets is what is shown in Travelnet under Show Price then Buddy Fare, correct? You don’t add the Yield Fare or anything else.

They are unaccompanied and are not allowed Delta One, but can they ride in Comfort+/Premium Select?

Rules for Buddy Passes haven’t changed yet. They can still ride in Delta One at this time. Sometime in 2019, the employee will have to purchase all buddy passes, and must accompany them for them to ride in in Delta One.

You are correct about the the total price shown.

Also they can check a couple bags for free as well (not overweight). If your flexible, international buddy passes are still a good deal as the loads are generally what they are, not as many last minute HK's etc.....

Also - changes can be made to the buddy pass in TravelNet, at no charge. They can even change cities (ie, originally booked ATL-FRA-ATL, but FRA-ATL is tight, but DUS is open, you just change the buddy pass online, only fare difference is collected (additional mileage or change in taxes).

I believe if the buddy pass rider calls in, there is a fee for doing it over the phone.
