Well I guess we differ in opinion here also. Not a big surprise.

This is such a ridiculous discussion. To me, it seems like the DPA crowd generated this hysteria to once again try to gain control of the union. Really, most of the DPA people I talk to are self serving morons and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were firing everyone up.
The majority of the pilot group, myself included, ignored the issue because Delta payroll couldn't support it. Now that our payroll system supports the ALPA tax on retirement funding it gained attention. The pilot group should be fired up over this issue, because we are being charged dues on retirement money. The 280k limitation in the IRS tax code doesn't change the nature of DPSP funds. In it's purest form it is retirement funding without a tax advantaged vehicle.

I would encourage anyone who feels similarly to write their reps before posting on APC. I did...

Denny speaks for me. This is very much NOT a DPA issue, as those including myself that are vocal about it are not supporters... heck, even Trip7 is fired up about it. Another long time ALPA supporter has even resigned from ALPA over it. It is a very big deal, and to not see that is to be so deep in the apologist weeds that you have no sense of reality.

80, are you saying a Delta pilot has left ALPA over this?

I'm sure someone said. Delta pilots are nothing if not drama queens.

"I don't like what you're doing so I'm going to voluntarily eliminate my opportunity to do anything about it!"

If it's the same person I'm thinking of, then yes a long time ALPA volunteer/advocate has processed his resignation from ALPA over this. He says he's still contributing to the PAC.

Lol, have an AAL buddy show you their internal forum. Or ask one of your UAL buddies what would happen if he "forgot" to wear an ALPA pin for a trip.

We are all “drama queens.” Once you realize that, life will make a lot more sense!
