Have you ever been in the back of the plane and overheard two people trying to "talk aviation" and it's so blatantly clear that they have zero clue as to what they're talking about? That's how the sports car talk in this thread makes me feel.

Huge agreement. Corvette and Porsche guys are awful about this
Does that mean the s2000 was not a sports car but can become one with tire changes? 🤔
It was a great sports car ride in that era and with modern tires still is great. It should be compared to the Miata back then not a 15 year newer design. If you want to make that comparison at least give them the same tires.

I’m not “comparing” them, I’m trying to show how stupid it is to determine what a sports car is by comparing lap times. Again, what was the triumph spitfire’s laptime around the ring?
Tesla Model 3 Performance. Impressive acceleration and handling. Also, potentially could be the first car to provide passive income while you are on a trip thru Autonomous uBer mode[emoji23]
It'll be interesting to see how the high end sports cars and supercars respond to the new electric competition. My guess would be, more Stradale like hybrids (or electric boost has Aston Martin likes to say).
