Drunk pilot

In MSP this morning? Bad way to start the day!!

TED74 07-31-2019 01:55 PM

Sad day for one of our teammates and his family.

Drunk pilot

Was he pretending to be SWA at the hotel for the discounts?

In all seriousness let’s get all the facts vs assuming he was drunk. Didn’t they quickly release him?

Now we get to look forward to the passengers who think they are funny, and lean into the cockpit asking you guys aren't drunk are you? Usually lasts about 2 weeks.

I always respond we can delay the flight for about an hour for you to find out if you want.

Seemed pretty definitive. Although I've already seen one retraction (from "arrested in the cockpit" to "arrested inside the airport").

That's not a small difference. I'm no lawyer, but that could mean the difference between just losing one's license and going to real jail.

At least the mugshot didn't have a pilot shirt in it (t shirt, I think).

What a tragedy for the pilot and his family.

Tragedy? Anyone with more than a week on the job would know to call in sick before boarding the employee bus. This was stupidity plain and simple.

Slaphappy 07-31-2019 02:48 PM

was this a real Delta pilot or a regional pilot that the media is calling a delta pilot?

No hard corps alcoholics in your family tree, I take it? You're very lucky, not to have to deal with a loved one who's bottomed out, hard.

I envy you, I truly do.

If the reported flight is correct, Delta regionals don’t fly MSP-SAN.
