NYC320.

Correct me if I’ve missed something, but I don’t believe they can offer 320 positions if they haven’t been unbid by existing pilots, and we haven’t had unbid NYC320B openings in a VERY long time. Anyone have further insights?

I tried deciphering the contract, but since they stopped 60 in each seat on the 88 from going to a new plane; do their positions in those planes count as un bid positions?

I'm going to go with no, since technically those positions were bid for, but just not awarded.

I thought newhires could only get UNFILLED positions ...

That’s my understanding; they’ll have to run, close, and award the AE...THEN offer the unfilled positions. I would guess that they’re anticipating those positions, and if that class isn’t until October then it’s all kosher.

How long does the AE stay open ? I start on the 16th and trying to bid out of NYC would I be eligible to bid to a different base ?

My guess is it will close on the 16th. If it did and assuming IT has your accounts all up and running on day 1, you could be ready to submit a bid out of NYC. If it were to close later (e.g., next Friday), you'd be good to go!

Where did Bob say this? I believe you I’m just wondering if there is somewhere to get information that I don’t know about.
