Really. Scared. Too funny. I said it was miserable here, not scared.

I will agree and disagree. I would venture a guess you weren't around during C2K. Although not as easy now that we can follow along on your phone, you would mysteriously not make a flight as a nonrev and you sure as hell didn't tag your work bag and walk it down to the bin. Kit bags would end up in Africa some how. I couldn't wait for it to be over.

The company had through informal and formal communications targeted pilots greed, plus the Comair strike, all came together to result in a level of employee and customer animosity towards pilots. The irony was people had no idea their snide comments about "pilots bleeding this company to death" were directed at an Atlantic Southeast pilot making less than $20,000 a year. ...

What?

Did we?

We are somewhat of an outlier in the use of 2 Captains in a four man.

I hope the Scope arbitrations are decided fairly soon and that the Arbitrator decides in the Unions favor.......heavily. Consistently violating the Contract and doing nothing about it will stand in our favor.

The noncompliance with our scope section is repeated and willful. It is time for punitive damages, much larger than actual damages, to compel the company into compliance.

The path of least resistance for an arbitrator is to do nothing and wait for the ALPA and the company to negotiate a resolution. In the past, ALPA has used scope violations for negotiating leverage. It is also worth observing that this hasn't always been the case. C15 separated the scope violation and contract negotiations.

My impression of our current administration is that they are not inclined to trade scope. However, politics are always a wildcard.

That is why I found it odd no one discussed it in the forum. If it’s TA’d this early I would assume we maintained are crew augmentation rules which are much better and far more costly than other airlines. It’s a good thing in a otherwise slow process.

I agree with that preliminary assessment. There couldn't possibly be a situation where we would have TA'd a concession like that at this point anyway. Talk about a poison pill.

How long have you been in this industry? We could take paycuts while they get raises, and some employees would say that we should have taken bigger cuts so they could get bigger raises. I don't GAS what the other employees think about our pay/raises/retirement, etc. We all chose our jobs. If they don't like it, get qualified and apply to be a pilot.

Yeah well it’s not your bank account that is the problem. Once this thing drags on the company will start putting out memo’s saying basically your raises are on hold until we see how much we have to pay the greedy old pilots. It makes coming to work a miserable experience.

Strange thing is the union now says we don’t have a TA in that section. They said we did and now we don’t which means we are back to having exactly nothing of importance TA’d after 6 months of accelerated negotiations.
