Don't want to drag this convo on, but when I hear someone say that the "beard won't seal" I always have a chuckle, and it's usually from the guys that will shave every morning at 6am even on an off day... again I say get a life, this isn't the military.

Time to change the rule and come in line with the rest of the aviation industry. Our Canadian brethren did it, so could we.

I wish some of our Bs had some facial hair, I look too old next to them. :D

Eh, I 100% agree that the mask seal thing is BS. I also don't shave unless I have to go to work...actually had a pretty good thing going until they made me go to work yesterday. I think a well manicured beard can look great on some. On the flip side, I've seen some downright trashy ones in "professional" settings. I'd be OK if we never allowed beards.

My beards pretty raggedy and sad. The mustache on the other hand...

My wife made me shave it

The company does not care if the mask seals or not and I have not heard them use that as a excuse for no beards. They simply don’t want their pilots wearing beards and frankly that’s their choice as far as I am concerned. When I retire my beard starts that day.
