What’s your favorite Delta day?

Having never set foot in a B-767 flight deck, I thought it was pretty cool of Delta to let four of us take a 763 to Rochester, MN for touch and gos on a chilly winter day. The FAA wanted us pNW 757 dudes to have "landing training" on the 767 and I guess that plan suited everybody involved much better than a sub-variant OE requirement flying the line. Six of us actually, given two brave LCAs from the south. There were some steadfast rules about how to handle reconfiguration from landing to T/O mode on the roll, but otherwise it was casual and an absolute blast! Something like minus 12C surrounded by white frozen tundra in the Land of 10,000 Lakes was a formula for some spirited performance. Certainly I've had a few layovers that were more fun and probably should not be published in detail (and no credit to Delta, aside from means and opportunity), but cutting the kids loose with the keys to the jet was a leap of faith that was pretty darn enjoyable.

NH dinner for me. It was December, it wasn’t cold and it was foggy. It felt like it was out of a movie set.
That day, I realized how lucky I am to got hired here. Contract negotiations times and last yr QOL in NY hasn’t been good, but overall it’s been a great experience the past 3 yrs.

Ed Bastian says his was the day we escaped bankruptcy allowing Delta to become what it is today.
My favorite Delta day was the day we, as a group with different perspectives and desires recognized our value to the company and what Delta has become. And voted down TA1.
What’s yours?

Speaking of jackets. Does everyone at Delta religiously follow the jacket on/jacket off dates? I ask because here (AA) I constantly see lots of guys wearing the jacket year round... yes even on 100 degree days in DFW. And I’ve never seen any Delta guys do this... seems like you guys are 100% consistent with the dates....heck, even down to small details like wings, name tags, etc... you guys wear the uniform exactly the same. We at AA are all over the map with the uniform. Some wear shirt wings.. some don’t. Some wear blazers..some wear overcoats..couple of expired leather jackets here and there. It’s a mess

I guess my favorite day is go home day! Or every off day lol. I mean I love my job and I genuinely enjoy coming to work at Delta, but what I love about this jobs is the amount of time off I get.
I noticed the same thing when I was at AAL. But when I was there, AAL had a policy that you had to wear your jacket if you were going to Europe/Asia...so maybe those are the guys wearing their jackets.
Guys mostly stick to the uniform policy/dates here at DAL. You'll occasionally see a guy without wings or name tag, or ones who wear the jacket all year, but it seems pretty rare. In general, almost every jacket goes back in the closet on 1Mar.
