Theodore Rex by Edmond Morris.
Meticulously researched. Very good read if you are into history, the Presidency, and how we came about as a great nation igniting at the turn of the 20th century. Teddy had a lot to do with that. Read the book. Just a few more.... Stranger to the Ground Islands in the Stream An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963 Force of Eagles Ambush at Osirak First Strike (IAF raid on Iraqi nuclear power plant) in tandem with Raid on The Sun |

It basically takes you up until McKinley was shot and he assumes the Presidency. That guy lived an unbelievable life! Concur 100% with the impact that TR had on the US. I also enjoyed Dutch covering Reagan - another book by Morris. Also check out Collapse or any of the Jared Diamond books if you are into history. Scoop |

Scoop Morris is meticulous in his research. His footnotes/endnotes are a gold mine of information. Always well sourced. |
"Always with Honor: The Memoirs of General Wrangel" - Pyotr Wrangel
---Amazing story of a Russian general who fought the Bolsheviks (and lost) after the Czar abdicated. Unbelievable badass. Originally published 1928, recently re-released. --------------------- "Flying Blind: The 737 MAX Tragedy and the Fall of Boeing" - Peter Robison ----Not out until Nov 30, but I've pre-ordered it. Written by a Bloomberg reporter who extensively covered Boeing during/after the merger with McDonnell Douglas. Very much looking forward to this one. |
