I'm not sure this has been mentioned yet.
I'm in the middle of "Carrying the Fire," by Michael Collins. That astronaut could write. And it's the perfect amount of technical jargon for airline pilots. An absolute masterpiece. |

I just finished a 3 book trilogy called “Undaunted Valor” about Helicopter pilots in Vietnam. They were all available on kindle unlimited for free and a very good read. Man, those guys had guts. And during certain times, they were flying up to 160 hours a month flying resupply missions and combat assaults under heavy enemy fire. Highly recommend the series if you’re into war history and helicopter flying. |
Does anyone have any book recommendations that aren't military or aviation related?

If you really want what is probably the all-time best mix of history and literature, nothing beats Gibbon's "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire." This can be a cathartic experience for some. |
