SILs?
The LOA 2 timetable says SILs have to be posted to DBMS 40 days before the start of an SIL bid period...which is tomorrow. So, who's placing bets on how many from what categories?
I'd say a large, large percentage of WB fleets get offers (60-70%). Almost the entirety of M88. Probably a good chunk from the 220 and 7ER fleets, particularly the B sides (30%). A 10-20% smattering in other fleets. |

Sounds about right. I am not sure many WB’s would take it if 80% of their fleet is parked.

There will still be charters like the DUB-ATL route recently announced, or substitutions. Never underestimate the power of network.

Have the eligible categories been announced yet? I haven’t seen anything on Deltanet.

Unfortunately, in the absence of posted SILs today and the purported meeting between ALPA and the company, it’s possible management is coming back to the well and requesting less favorable terms for SILs.

Ever since they announced the SIL LOA I've been wondering how effective that would be. 55 hours is great when ALV's are 65 and higher, but if we agree to lower ALV's to, say 45 or 50, then the 55 hour SILs become basically worthless to the company. To me it only makes sense to offer SILs if they are at least 10 hours lower than ALV's.

Methinks the company reneges. Remember everyone: Keep your Deals.

probably best to wait and see if the stimulus bill goes through before the union agrees to any reductions. Hopefully Congress will figure it out in a day or so.

Probably based on the company requesting a meeting today to discuss the status based on COVID. If the company is requesting a meeting with the MEC, it’s not to share good news; they’re probably coming to the MEC with hat in hand

Dear New York pilots: This afternoon a subgroup from within the MEC is meeting with Delta management to discuss the current COVID-19 situation. This meeting occurs at the request of the company. In this meeting, a small delegation from the MEC and our subject-matter experts will work to better understand the economic situation of our company and the course management envisions going forward...” |

This lack of info is deafening. My desire to help out is waning.

I’m getting fed up with this lack of communication that only allows rumors and wild speculation to run rampant. How hard is a sky hub post saying sils are delayed for some meetings with the MEC?

WSJ reporting that US airlines may shut down, either voluntarily or by government order.
Title says it all. Company might want to give the union a heads up. Beats me. Really depressing to read the whole “exclusive “. Click at your own risk. https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-dom...er-11585013673 |
11:41, so there’s still 19 minutes to go...
I’m going to guess that at least 1 person both in Delta management and DALPA management knows why the SIL numbers weren’t published. I’m also going to go out on a limb and say they had a pretty good idea before now that they might end up here. Why in the world can’t someone have the common courteously to tell us why? |
So much for that.

2 rumors, so take it for what it's worth:
SILs will make the other employee groups jelly. Early retirement in the works a la AA. |
